British sit coms hit their peak.
My love of comedy really springs from this era as Faulty Towers especially was repeated during my childhood.
Faulty towers with its sarcasm & slapstick & Are you being served with its Camp humour & innuendos both became huge hits in the states.
They influenced the next generation American teens.
Who went on to use the British sit com formulas as a platform for animation.
