Matt, Tray, Seth, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Republicans, and Rednecks.

Matt Stone, Tray Parker, and Seth McFarlen were all children growing up in the states in the early 70's.

They were influenced by British comedies most notably Faulty Towers, Monty Pyton and Benny Hill.

Matt and Trey are the creators of animated tv shows South Park and Seth the created Family guy.

These cartoons have been internationally successful and have gone on for many years.
South park started in 96 and has had 16 seasons.
Family guy started in 99 and has had ten seasons ( it was famously cancelled by Fox tv who then brought it back a year later after DVD sales had made a small fortune )

Both animations satire and lampoon popular culture, politics, religion, and racism.

South Park and Family Guy both use Jesus, God, and other religious figures as characters.

South Park also uses the Super best friends, religious super heros,Jesus, Joseph Smith,Moses, and Muhammad.

After the 911 attacks and the Muslim Extreamist violence which proceeded it including the Terrorist attacks in the Netherlands which included the assasination of Dutch film maker Theo Van Gough and attempts on the life of illustrator and cartoonist Kurt Westergaard. Comedy Central who broadcast South Park forbid Matt and Tray from drawing him again, the clip below is before the 2004 killing. And the reaction to it is posted below.

This was a premiss for an episode which also referenced Family Guy.

Both shows are firm favourites of mine because they pose questions and aren't afraid to point out ridiculous ludicrous or unjust beliefs accepted as fact by many.

Aspects of religion lampooned are the creation of earth, Adam and Eve, and the Miracles of Jesus.
